Finance is a free, open-source app for tracking spending, earnings, budgets, credit cards, loans and what you own. There’s no account to create and no company server: your data lives on your device and, if you choose, in a private folder in your own Google Drive so your phone and computer stay in sync.
Categories and subcategories, a monthly donut chart, 12-month trends, search, filters and CSV export.
Earnings
Paychecks, side income and interest; monthly totals, savings rate, and earned-vs-spent over a year.
Budgets
An overall limit plus lines you name yourself, with a pace marker that shows if you’re ahead of plan.
Credit cards
Balances, limits, utilization, payments and refunds, limit-change history, monthly summaries.
Loans
Car, mortgage, student or personal loans with an interest estimate for each payment.
Assets & net worth
Your car, home and savings with value history and equity, plus stocks and ETFs at live prices.
Install it (about 30 seconds)
Finance is a web app you add to your home screen. It then opens full-screen like any other app and works offline. Nothing to download from an app store.
First, open the link in your phone’s real browser.
If you tapped the link inside Facebook, Messenger or another app, it opened in that app’s built-in browser, which can’t install apps.
Tap ⋯ (or ⋮) in that window and choose Open in Safari / Open in browser, or copy
rispace.github.io/my-finance into Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android).
iPhone & iPad · Safari
1Tap ⋯ at the bottom right, next to the address bar.2Tap Share.3Tap Add to Home Screen. Scroll down or tap View More if you don’t see it.4Tap Add. Keep Open as Web App on.
Don’t see ⋯ or the address bar? Scroll up a little or tap the very bottom of the screen; Safari hides its toolbar while you scroll.
If the page looks like a plain article with big text, Reader is on: tap the Reader icon in the address bar (or ⋯ → Hide Reader) to turn it off first.
See a Share button (a square with an arrow ↑) in the toolbar instead? That’s an older iOS version or the “Bottom”/“Top” tab layout: tap it and continue from step 3.
Using Chrome on iPhone? Tap the Share button in Chrome’s address bar, then Add to Home Screen. Or use Safari, as above.
Android · Chrome

Safari on Mac: open the app, then choose File → Add to Dock and click Add.

Then, inside the app
Tap Start with starter categories (you can rename them any time).

How your data is handled
On your device
Everything you enter is stored in your browser’s private storage on that device. The app works fully without signing in.
In your Google Drive (optional)
If you sign in with Google, Finance asks for one permission: to store its own data in a hidden app folder in your Drive. It cannot see, open or change any of your other files. Nobody else — including the developer — can read that folder.
